Getting Your Flags On!

Here at The Festival Flag Company the majority of our clients hire our flags in and erect them themselves. You provide us with the address of your venue and we arrange a courier to deliver these on the day before your event giving you plenty of time to get your flags flying high. These are then collected on the Monday after your event.

The flags are sent to you with instructions of how to erect them so that you can make the most out of them.

We use telescopic poles; bamboo poles are an option if we are installing these for you. But they are just too expensive to ship via courier.

Being prepared is key, make sure you invest in either a fence driver, Jack hammer or a sledge hammer if you don’t have one and a set of ear plugs!  Our personal favourite and vote always goes to the fence driver!

Top tips –The next things on your list to make lighter work of this is to have a spirit level and an abundance of cable ties.

Initially you band the stake into the ground where you are positioning the flag, make sure you use the spirit level at this stage to make sure that its straight. You then simple slip the flag over the end of the pole, cable tie the bottom of the flag to the pole and then cable tie the pole to the stake.

Et Voila! Before you know it, your arena will be filled with festival flags in all their glory!

It’s always a good idea to get your flags flying first to set your arena area, everything else can then fall nicely into place. Do however make sure you leave a big enough gap for vehicles to get in and out.

If you are having festoon lighting, spread the flag poles out nicely for really effective look.

Drop us a line today to discuss all of your festival requirements, we remain unbeaten on price and quality.
